Over the years, we have identified three hidden mistakes that repeatedly cost our clients significant money.

1. LCD Screen and Cable Mismatch – Silent Burnout

The most common hidden cost comes from LCD module assembly. When the screen model does not perfectly match the connecting cable, or when local workers insert the cable incorrectly (e.g., wrong pin alignment or live insertion), the LCD can burn instantly. This mistake often goes unnoticed until final testing, forcing expensive replacement and rework.

Our solution: We pre-assemble the complete LCD component as one kit, with clear marks on the socket connector and detailed visual instructions to prevent misoperation.

2. Plastic Enclosure Breakage – Hidden Cracks During Transit

Many clients assume enclosures are sturdy enough. However, standard packing often leads to micro-cracks on corners and edges during long sea freight, especially for custom molds. These cracks are only discovered upon unpacking, leading to last-minute part replacements and delayed production.

Our solution: For client-owned molds, we recommend local injection molding. For our standard enclosures, we use specially designed packaging materials and a back-to-back stacking method to prevent corner damage.

3. Core Board Confusion – Same Look, Different Specs

Different parameter configurations (e.g., 3-lead vs 5-lead ECG, with or without NIBP) often use identical-looking core boards. Without clear labeling, local workers easily mix them up, causing assembly errors, board burnout, or failed calibration. The resulting troubleshooting and rework can halt entire production lines.

Our solution: We classify each board by configuration, use distinct packaging with clear color-coded labels, and mark every board with permanent identifiers.
